In MultiAPPRO project (WPT3 – Transport performance model and Quality Management), Performance Indicators are important part of Transport Performance Strategy contributing into the identification of future transport investments and designation of innovative analytical framework for impacts and benefits arising from various investments across the intermodal transport system.
Based on the MULTIAPPRO’s priorities, the Key Performance Indicators within the project have been selected for assessing transport networks and the connectivity among the modes towards efficient and sustainable logistic chains.
This first stage of the application is to determine the transport project to be analysed and further assessed. Each partner was required to select one project based on specific parameters related to its maturity, priority, implementation period, financial investment criteria and rates.
This method included development of various algorithms for calculating the actual value of all identified elements. The introduction of benchmark values for each element of the observed transport system in the algorithm calculates the performance value of the current state of the system. As such, this method will produce:
- General description of the regions innovation potential
- Selection of most thematic areas given prioritised criteria
- Description of the state and future aspects of the selected thematic areas using the defined indicator
- Grouping and assessing using the benchmark indicators
- Description of the major obstacles against innovation and the most effective areas with increased innovation potential
- Determine the framework that can be used to further monitor the innovation evolution
The coordinator of this activity is the NTUA, together with the active participation of all Partners.
