On Monday June 1st, Port of Bar hosted experts from ACTUAL IT who are implementing the Port Community System (PCS) upgrades through ADRION funded projects ADRIPASS PLUS and MultiAPPRO PLUS. Within these two projects, Port of Bar will upgrade truck module of the PCS system (ADRIPASS PLUS) and develop a new Android application (MultiAPPRO PLUS) that will allow paperless communication as well as integration of the PCS with the National Maritime Single Window of Montenegro, which was one of the topics of this meeting.
The application for mobile phones to be developed through MultiIAPPRO PLUS will allow a status check of some documents, as well as entering some data and certification (verification) of documents. The application will provide positive effects on port’s business as operations will be done in smoother and reliable way by using an app specially designed to support stakeholders’ requests. Using mobile devices will enable greater flexibility in operations, avoid unnecessary physical contact in offices, and in addition, it will represent another step towards complete elimination of paper documentation in the Port of Bar.
The meeting was also attended by the main local stakeholders and freight forwarders that had the opportunity to deepen information regarding both their involvement and future integration with the National Maritime Single Window.
