Today took place the ITN MultiAPPRO PLUS event. It was organised by Greek partner NTUA (National Technological University of Athens) and held at Piraeus Port S.A. headquarters in Athens (Greece). The meeting was organised in hybrid form in order to give possibility to everyone not able to travel to attend. NTUA reports that there were 40 people physically present, speakers included, while the live streaming was followed by other 60 people connected through YouTube and Zoom platforms.
The main core of the discussions was the necessity of new adaptations of ports infrastructures and sustainability. The topics focused on new technologies and the alternative fuels towards intermodality with a close look at the “Fit for 55” European package. In addition, a debate on digitalisation and energy upgrade in the new era of transportation was carried out. Each discussion was followed by a “Q&A” session, during which participants were able to intervene expressing their observations and opinions in order to give space to fruitful conversations. At the end of the numerous presentations and greetings, physically present participants had the great opportunity to visit Piraeus Port and all its facilities.
It was an occasion for the project partners to meet for the last time all together, being this the last event planned within MultiAPPRO PLUS project, and to give thanks to all those who supported the project.
